Fair Trade Tourism encourage and publicize fair and responsible business practice.
This status was achieved through Fair Trade's certification program, and endorsed us as an establishment and also means that we met stringent criteria.
The criteria included:

• Fair wages and working conditions.
• Fair operations, purchasing and distribution of benefits.
• Ethical business practice.
• Respect for human rights, culture and the environment.

The concept of Fair Trade Tourism, is to make tourism more sustainable. Meaning that people who contribute their land, resources, labor and knowledge to tourism are reaping the benefits. Tourists are then informed about responsible tourism and are then able to make an informed decision about where or what they would like to participate in.
The Fair Trade Tourism Certified label is an internationally recognized label.
